Help Build Astrophysics Logic Tree

Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

Help Build Astrophysics Logic Tree

Unread post by Lloyd » Fri Dec 06, 2013 11:03 pm

A logic tree can help prove which theories are well-founded and which aren't.
I've started using "truth mapping" to start building a logic tree here:
http://truthmapping.com/category.php?cat=123

Please consider joining that site and helping build the logic tree for "Formation and Composition of the Universe".

You can add critiques to any of the statements in my logic tree, and if there are critiques already there, you can also add rebuttals to critiques. If critiques are very good, they force the tree owner to revise a link in the logic chain. The process can result in a revised and more accurate theory, built on a sturdy logic tree. We can build a logic tree for each aspect of physics and astrophysics etc and make them all into a wiki.

Here's a video that explains the truthmapping process somewhat:

This is approximately how the initial logic tree looks. There's room for critiques at each premise and conclusion, but no one has supplied any of those yet.
