Who would have guessed? A kid's cartoon with solar flares!

Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

Who would have guessed? A kid's cartoon with solar flares!

There is a kid's cartoon show on right now called "Space Racers". It follows the adventures of animated rocket planes. Today's episode shows them first watching TV and seeing a warning about a coming solar storm, then ignoring the warning and heading out into space and get buffeted around by the flares. They end up on lost, their voice-activated assistant isn't working, so they're having to figure it out themselves.

This channel mostly carries programs for preschoolers or young, elementary-age kids. I would never have expected to see them showing a solar flare threat!

I haven't seen Space Racers, I don't think it was shown here in NM.

Space Racers - Series Preview - Now Available on Public Television Stations!

Space Racers - videos

The one I have seen is:

Ready Jet Go! - videos

Ready Jet Go!

They are supported by JPL and push consensus science, comets as dirty snowballs, etc...

The littlest kid is only allowed to go as far as the neighbors yard, so doesn't go on trips with the others.
