Help a new guy out . . .

Unread post by Vortex_Model » Tue Nov 21, 2017 11:50 am

Hi all, new to the forum here. My background is in electrical engineering. I've always had a "thing" for astronomy, cosmology, physics and a little chemistry. Dad was a Ph.D chemist and he and his lab partner developed their own atomic model so they could be more effective doing their work in the lab. So I've always been keen on looking at new approaches.

I've got some questions about the EU approach to answering questions like:

Why clocks run slow in higher gravitational fields (GPS satellites)

Chip Arp's discovery of highly red shifted QSOs that move back toward normal in quantized steps. From my understanding, the red shift is due to initial low mass and high velocity, gradually moving back toward normal by gaining mass. How does this effect work itself out with slowed clocks at higher velocity (added mass)?

If you have a link to discussions about this, I'd be happy to bring these questions to that topic.

Electric universe and plasma cosmology are absolutely fascinating. Thanks for having a look at my questions.

Welcome to our community by the way. :)

One of the first things that you will learn about the EU/PC community is that unlike the mainstream, we don't all think alike, and you're apt to get different answers from different individuals. :)

I'm personally a big fan of GR theory without all the optional metaphysical "add-on" associated with LCDM like "space expansion", dark energy and exotic matter. IMO there are things about GR that are very attractive and do seem to jive with observation. Time dilation is one such observation IMO.

EU/PC theory is compatible with the concept of an expanding universe, or a static universe, and there are a number of "tired light" models that are worth consideration IMO. I tend to believe that we live in a static universe where most if not all of the redshift is caused by inelastic scattering processes in plasma which have been documented in the lab. It's also possible that what the mainstream perceives as "speace expansion" is more likely to be a function of time dilation (is space really expanding?).

Eric Lerner has pointed out that a static universe theory passes the surface brightness tests.

A static universe concept based on "tired light" also passes some other complicated cosmological tests as well:

Keep in mind that GR theory doesn't *necessarily* require that the laws of conservation be abandoned, even though 'dark energy" is by far the biggest violation of the law of conservation of energy ever proposed in a cosmology theory. "Dark energy" however isn't a "requirement" in GR, nor is space expansion or exotic matter. Be careful when the mainstream tries to ride the coattails of GR theory. Often times they have no business even stuffing their magical dark elements into those formulas to start with.

Thanks for the response. I'm not a fan of "time dilation" since time is not a "real thing." I don't have a problem with time keeping mechanisms, whatever their form, being affected by the "field" in which they operate. I'm just wondering what the cause from the EU standpoint would be for the slowing clocks, be they cesium reference or Timex.

I did just watch a video by a former NASA guy, Dr. Ed Dowdye, that stated there has been no observation of GR lensing outside of the plasma region of the sun. He also showed the video of the stars orbiting Sag-A* and no Einstein rings were visible at any time unlike GR predictions. What are your thoughts on that?
