Saw this on the Homounculus thread: man-with-tiny-brain-shocks-doctors
It got me thinking about Dinosaurs. We assume they were thick as planks due to the tiny brain cavity, but it seems brain size isn't that important. Some Squid show signs of sophisticated mental processes with their ability to rapidly change colour to suit there environment, they also use these colours in basic communication. Rather than a brain these invertabrates have large nervous systems.
