The cosmology of Dr. Paul LaViolette's Subquantum Kinetics (a revolutionary physics model) converges with the symbols of astrology, tarot, and the lore of many ancient myth systems in his stunning works Genesis of the Cosmos: The Ancient Science of Continuous Creation (2004), Earth Under Fire (1997) and other books mentioned on this website.

LaViolette's thesis is too large to be conveyed by any one of his books. Each develops one part and reviews the other interfacing pieces. Taken together, you have

A review of modern physics showing how it rejected a poorly-conceived mechanical ether theory and failed to recognize a much more useful (and probably correct) transmutive ether model. General system theory is applied to extend commonly-recognized kinetic reaction processes from the observed macroscopic world to the subquantum domain.

Subquantum processes are seen to engender our physical world with profound implications for astrophysics and cosmology. Many continuing mysteries in these fields are thus resolved.

A key point in the Subquantum Kinetics (SQK) cosmology is the production of energy and matter out of the transmutive ether wherever gravitational potential wells are deep enough to favor it. This means there can be no black holes because regions of high mass density generate sufficient energy and matter to prevent collapse. In fact, a positive feedback loop in the dynamics gives rise to a potential for explosions.

A focus on Galactic core energetics strongly suggests that all galaxies periodically experience violent core explosions. The "Seyfert galaxies" and quasars that we observe today are ordinary galaxies going through this phase.

All intelligent inhabitants of any galaxy who have the minimum scientific perception and cultural memory (history) understand the urgency of learning how to deal with this phenomenon.

Human society on Earth has experienced such periods, the most recent of which may be dated as having begun in 13,865 B.C. at the end of the last great ice age. (That would indicate the time of its appearance here; the energetic event would have begun 23,000 years prior to that at the Galactic core.)

The transmission of knowledge of these cycles of destruction is of the utmost primary importance - and must be accomplished in some language or symbol system that would be universally evident to humans.

The message, that includes ALL of the points mentioned above, has been encoded into the mythologies of all human cultures. LaViolette takes pains to decode many of them in his works.

Much of the knowledge encoded and transmitted has not been available to us through our own technological means until very recently. For example, detailed knowledge of the position and activity of the Galactic core (which we can observe only in the radio spectrum) has been transmitted, as well as the directions to very slightly blueshifted and redshifted cosmic background energy. This means that the ancients who created the mythologies used in the transmission had access to technology at least the equal of ours.

Such technology may have been extraterrestrial in origin. LaViolette does not insist that it was, but there may in some way be an extraterrestrial component in this story.

LaViolette's work successfully draws on an astonishing array of disciplines -- high-energy physics, galactic and extragalactic astronomy, geophysics, geochemistry, climatology, glaciology, paleontology, archaeology and mythology -- and does it with such mastery that one wonders what has kept it on the margins for so long. It is not for any lack of erudition and scholarly treatment of the data. The only answer can be that he has offended the masters of each field by revealing their oversights, their illogic, and their refusal to address their unresolved issues. By avoiding the pitfalls and building on the best information available in each area, LaViolette has constructed a significant new world view -- one which is charged with meaning and even urgency for us in our times.

Evidence in Pre-Modern and Ancient Art
Elsewhere in this website (see New Search Strategies) I show how SETI Incrementalism leads even the "scientifically-oriented" researcher to consider and search for the presence of craft in our solar system. Why then not allow evidence of such craft that come within visible viewing range? But that comes close to the "U" word, and this website avoids the issues of "what is the UFO?" and "are there UFOs?" as well as stories of alien contacts and abductions, because those are high-profile questions, their resolution has been slow to come about, while the very rich material under discussion in Open SETI has not been given proper and adequate attention until now

However, our exploration of suggestive material from earlier epochs and societies runs into a relatively untouched area: artistic renderings of craft and beings that should never have been encountered, according to conventional wisdom. The skeptical reader should consider that in the case of these old renderings, the issue is not whether the image was hoaxed by the artist if the piece is authentically old--unless one entertains the notion that imagined craft and beings of the present day were being imagined in essentially the same form centuries ago.

The important questions are 1) whether the image is authentically old and 2) whether the image is unmistakably clear.

Available documentation of the images' authenticity varies. However there are so many of them, and so many of such high quality that the reader must not miss the experience of examining these.





Paleovisitology

Clearly, although much valuable research has been and is being done, the field itself is nascent, disorganized, and struggling for its very recognition. A very significant effort to define this field of research under the designation paleovisitology is described in the Research Institute on Anomalous Phenomena Bulletin Vol. 8, No. 3-4, (July-December 2002).

In his editorial to this special issue, Dr. Vladimir Rubtsov discusses the position of paleovisitology with respect to historical anomalistics, historical ufology, and (radio) SETI.

This issue, along with other issues of the Bulletin, is strongly recommended for its insights into the thinking and courageous activities of scientists working on the cutting edge in the old Soviet Union and in today's new and equally challenging research environment.




Systematic Destruction of Archaeological Anomalies
Everyone is familiar with the final warehouse scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, depicting the disposition of the Ark of the Covenant at the convenience of a major government. That was fantasy but would there be any reason why a real-life government would want to treat an archaeological wonder in that way?
This is the question to ponder when confronted with reports describing exactly this treatment of sites: bulldozing-over, destruction of artifacts, involvment of intelligence agencies, and even crating up and shipping out of articles that will never see the light of day.

Anomalous archaeological findings have always been suppressed (Cremo and Thompson 1994), but for more mundane reasons relating to the sociology and prejudices of science, such as discussed elsewhere in this Open SETI white paper. The activities suggested here go beyond that, and seem to set the perspective of a rather vast operation to preserve a certain view and even definition of the human race.

From this description, LaViolette's theory looks virtually the same as the one from Miles Mathis, with one important difference, that Mathis, like Dewey Larson, holds that gravity is a continuous expansion of matter, which, through the equivalence principle is identical to current gravity theory with 100x less math. Mathis gravity field falls off with 1/R, while his base E/M field (=LaViolette's subquanta) falls of with 1/R^4. Gravity cannot be shielded and since the E/M field is opposite to gravity, shielding that has the effect of increasing gravity...unfortunately for anti-gravity devices. Mathis holds that antigravity effects can be created by impeding the base E/M field from the earth less, like with superconducting disks as Podkletnov has done. I do not think it will ever qualify as a future space drive since Mathis calculates the force of this base E/M field at about 0.1% of gravity at the earth's surface. On the surface of the moon it is about 100x stronger though, that is why the moon is responsible for the tides but through this E/M field. According to Mathis gravity is solely dependent on radius(!) while the E/M field is proportional with density/surface area.

In 1985, Dr. Paul LaViolette was in the Library of Congress in Washington, DC and looked up the work "gravity" in the card catalog. Surprisingly, he found the listing for "Electrogravitics Systems," a report that was missing from the stacks. When the librarian tried to locate any other copies through interlibrary loan, she commented, "It must be an exotic document" because she could find only one in the country which was at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Thus, LaViolette was successful in obtaining a copy of the formerly classified document. The mystery continued: seven years later when contacting the Wright-Patterson AFB Technical Library, they surprisingly found no reference in the computer-based card catalog. They did locate the document on the shelves, however, after being asked to search for it. To summarize, the report has historic value because:

It validates T.T. Brown's experiments;
It lists the major corporations that were collaborating on electrogravitics;
It includes the requirements for supersonic speed;
It shows the continuity from Project Winterhaven in 1952;
The report includes a list of electrostatic patents;
It had been classified by the Air Force for an undetermined amount of time which underscores its importance.
Prepared by the Aviation Studies (International) Ltd., Gravity Research Group, Special Weapons Study Unit in England in February of 1956, it defines electrogravitics as "a synthesis of electrostatic energy use for propulsion." The report historically notes that: "Electrogravitics had its birth after the War, when Townsend Brown sought to improve on the various proposals that then existed for electrostatic motors sufficiently to produce some visible manifestation of sustained motion." As mentioned in the first section of the report, both Project Winterhaven (1952) and "Electrogravitics Systems" (1956) propose "a saucer as the basis of a possible interceptor with Mach 3 capability." Another interesting detail presented is the necessity of an insulator with a exceedingly high "dielectric" constant of 30,000 for supersonic speed when the best dielectrics of that era were around 5,000. This section goes on to describe the creation of a local gravitational system by the craft which "would confer upon the fighter the sharp-edged changes of direction typical of motion in space." The January, 1955 entry states:

"Back in 1948 and 49, the public in the U.S. had a surprisingly clear idea what a flying saucer should, or could do. There has never at any time been any realistic explanation of what propulsion agency could make it do those things, but its ability to move within its own gravitation field was presupposed from its manoeuverability. Yet all this was at least two years before electro-static energy was shown to produce propulsion. It is curious that the public were so far ahead of the empiricists on this occasion..."

The intriguing part of this commentary is that without any space program at the time, the report complains that the public knows how UFOs behave and refers to sharp-edged changes of direction. Later in the report, we read, "One of the difficulties in 1954 and 1955 was to get aviation to take electrogravitics seriously." However, corporations such as Douglas, Sperry, Bell, GE, Hiller, Lear, and Convair are then described with an ongoing-project perspective. For example we read that, "General Electric is working on the use of electronic rigs to make adjustments to gravity." "Glenn Martin say gravity control could be achieved in six years....Clarke Electronics state they have a rig, and add that in their view the source of gravity's force will be understood sooner than some people think." This information makes the report exciting reading and gives it an air of suspense.

Even today, electrogravitics continues to attract public attention in the press. The latest is an article entitled "Military Power" published in a British aviation magazine, AIR International, (Jan., 2000) that includes copies of LaViolette’s drawings from the Electrogravitics Systems book. The article also cites the Aviation Week and Space Technology article from March, 1992 "Black world engineers, scientist, encourage using highly classified technology for civil applications" which caused LaViolette to investigate the B-2 Bomber connection to T.T. Brown’s electrogravitics.

THE HUTCHISON EFFECT

In 1980, George Hathaway, a professional engineer licensed in Canada, along with entrepreneur, Alex Pizzaro, formed a small company to develop and promote what is referred to as "The Hutchison Effect." It is named after its inventor, John Hutchison, who liked to experiment with combinations of Tesla coils and Van de Graaff generators at the same time. Much of the information about the "lift and disruption" effects has been reported at various conferences (such as in the Third International Symposium on Non-Conventional Energy Technology held in Hull, Quebec in 1986). Videotapes of much of the phenomena have been shown on Japanese TV as well. Hathaway also assembled a three-hour videotape that documents the TV interviews, reports, and actual events. To summarize, the experiments were conducted with 250 KV of DC power on the Van de Graaff and about the same voltage of AC power on the Tesla coil. The total real power was about 1.5 KW continuously, according to Hathaway. Besides the disruptive effects, which were numerous, the lifting of various heavy objects by the field was most impressive. These events can be seen at the end of the commercial video, "Free Energy, The Race to Zero Point." In regards to the AC contribution to the field, Hathaway reports that he measured a small voltage of 2 millivolts per meter in the active region (besides the DC offset). This is a small AC signal but on top of the high voltage DC signal, it performs amazing feats.

The importance of the Hutchison Effect to Brown electrogravitics is the AC "ripple" on the high DC voltage. A reference to this may be found in a military report by Dr. Dennis Cravens who gave T.T. Brown a high rating of "practicality." Cravens reported in his evaluation of Brown that older, high voltage supplies always had some AC ripple to the regulated signal, and wonders if this had any effect on Brown’s phenomena (Cravens, T.L. "Electric Propulsion Study", AL-TR-89-040, #ADA 227121, Science Applic. Inter. Corp., Torrance, CA 90501). Dr. LaViolette has also found this factor to have particular electrogravitic significance.

THE B-2 STEALTH BOMBER CONNECTION

Thanks to Dr. Paul LaViolette reporting in his article, "The U.S. Antigravity Squadron", there is substantial evidence that the electrogravitics research of the 1950's actually resulted in the B-2 Stealth Bomber "auxiliary propulsion system." Summarizing Dr. LaViolette's article, with references cited therein, the following facts are the most convincing:

The B-2 charges the leading edges of its wing-like body, with high voltage;
The B-2 is shaped just like T.T. Brown suggested an electrogravitic craft should look, for maximum charge separation;
Northrup tested leading-edge charging in 1968;
B-2 electrically charges the exhaust similar to the suggestion by T.T. Brown that the craft should be powered by needle-point flame-jet generators which electrically charge the exhaust;
Aviation Week admits the existence of "dramatic, classified technologies" applicable to "aircraft control and propulsion" on the B-2;
Aviation Week also disclosed that a high-density dielectric ceramic RAM made of powdered depleted uranium happens to have a mass density of 3 times that of the high-K dielectrics tested in the 1950's;
The B-2's Emergency Power Units (EPU) can drive an electrical generator at high altitudes or even in space, since the fuel can be made to decompose rapidly even without oxygen;
Edward Aldridge, the Secretary of the Air Force, admits that the B-2 creates no vapor trail at high altitudes.
The decomposed gases from the EPU's can function as the ion-carrying medium, in much the same way as the hot exhaust gases from the air breathing flame jet generators.
These details create a sense of excitement about the world's foremost aircraft. Dr. LaViolette argues that the electrogravitic drive will function better at higher speeds due to the better flow of the ions. Therefore, it is likely, he says, that the B-2 actually is a supersonic aircraft, especially since the 1968 leading-edge charging experiments were for supersonic softening of the shock wave.

House Representative Robert Walker was quoted recently in Popular Science ("Secrets of Groom Lake") as promoting the idea of declassifying military secrets that will help commercial development. How far away is anti-gravity technology? It may already be operating...

Towards the end of an otherwise routine article on aircraft propulsion in Air International in January 2000, reprinted at aeronautics, well-known and highly respected aviation writer Bill Gunston speculated that the American Northrop B-2 Spirit heavy bomber already uses some form of anti-gravity technology:

"I have numerous documents, all published openly in the United States, which purport to explain how the B-2 is even stranger - far, far stranger - than it appears. Most are articles published in commercial magazines, some are openly published US Patents, while a few are open USAF publications by Wright Aeronautical Laboratory and Air Force Systems Command's Astronautics Laboratory. They deal with such topics as electric-field propulsion, and electrogravitics (or anti-gravity), the transient alteration of not only thrust but also a body's weight. Sci-Fi has nothing on this stuff."

What really put the cat among the proverbial pigeons was a feature published in a March 1992 issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology, entitled "Black world engineers, scientists, encourage using highly classified technology for civil applications". For the first time in open literature, this article explained how the B-2's sharp leading edge is charged to "many millions of volts", while the corresponding negative charge is blown out in the jets from the four engines.

"Take-off thrust of the [B2 engine] F118- 100 at sea level is given as '19,000lb (84.5kN) class' by Northrop Grumman and as '17,300lb (77.0kN)' by the USAF. These are startlingly low figures for an aircraft whose take-off weight is said to be 336,5001b (152,635kg) and which was until recently said to weigh 376,0001b (170,550kg). Aircraft usually get heavier over the years, not 20 tones [sic] lighter. Even at the supposed reduced weight, the ratio of thrust to weight is a mere 0.2, an extraordinarily low value for a combat aircraft."

In other words, Gunston is implying that the B2 is seriously underpowered unless there is some means of reducing its mass or of increasing its lift beyond that provided by conventional aerodynamic means.

"Other writers have commented on the size of the B-2 wing and noted that its stealth depends on the huge black skin being made of RAM (radar-absorbent material). This, say the physicists, is 'a high-k, high-density dielectric ceramic, capable of generating an enormous electrogravitic lift force when charged'."

So is this why the B2s cost US$1 billion each?

Gunston's article is controversial, (an interesting discussion on it in the rec.aviation.military Internet newsgroup is archived at google under the title "B-2A and electrogravity") but there is a precedent for a radical, cost-is-no-object, highly classified US military aircraft using two major sets of new technologies, one secret and the other VERY secret.

The legendary Lockheed A12/SR71 "Blackbird" reconnaissance aircraft was increasingly declassified in the late 70s/early 80s, with major details released on the structural and propulsion technologies that enabled that incredible aircraft, one of the great masterpieces of aeronautical engineering, to cruise at Mach 3. What wasn't declassified until several years later, long after the F117 stealth fighter had been unveiled, was the fact that it was also a stealth design! While stealth took second place to speed, the fact was that stealth elements were a major factor in the airframe configuration, design of which dated back to the late 1950s, twenty years before stealth technology was even mentioned by the US government.

Subquantum kinetics was partly inspired from work done on a reaction kinetic model known as the Brusselator. During background talks about my inital work here, it was dismissed as fancy some internet material which described the longitudinal shock wave of the Impulse Magnifying Transmitter, mainly by well known Magnify Builder Richard Hull. However Dollard has video evidence, we have Tesla notes and modern experiments with a Impulse Magnifying Transmitter showed that indeed longitudinal shock fronts, Coulomb Waves, do exist and indeed do sting and do eminate from the Tesla device. So they are real and infact they are used by Drs. Evgeny Podkletnov and Giovanni Modanese, in Russia.

Gravitational Repulsion - prevailing concept (1985): Electrons are assumed to produce matter-attracting fields just like protons. Gravitational repulsion is considered a speculative idea. Gravity waves are theorized to produce transverse forces on masses, not longitudinal forces.

Prediction No. 11 (1985): Subquantum kinetics predicted that gravity should have two polarities correlated with charge and that the electron should produce a matter-repelling gravity field. Furthermore it predicted that electric shock discharges should produce both electric and gravity potential wave components capable of exerting longitudinal forces on charges and masses. Published in: 1985 (IJGS), 1990 (ISSS), and 1994 (Subquantum Kinetics).



Verification (2001): Drs. Evgeny Podkletnov and Giovanni Modanese discover that an axial high-voltage electron discharge produces a matter-repelling gravity wave that travels in the direction of the discharge exerting a longitudinal repulsive gravitational force on a distant test mass.



Gravity wave and Coulomb wave speed and gravity wave force (2003): At the time of this prediction, most physicists and astronomers believed that gravity waves and Coulomb waves should always travel at the speed of light. They also concurred that the force exerted by such waves should scale in proportion to the field gradient.


Prediction No. 12 (2003): Subquantum kinetics predicts that an electron shock discharge should produce coinciding electric and gravity potential waves that travel faster than the speed of light and that the speed of these superluminal waves at any given point in time should depend on the electric potential gradient of the discharge (LaViolette, Subquantum Kinetics, p. 130). This is predicted to be due to the movement of the ether wind created by the shocks, the velocity of the pulses being increased by the additional forward velocity of the ether wind reference frame relative to which they propagate. Furthermore subquantum kinetics also predicts that the gravitational force exerted by such shock waves should increase as the pulse's electric potential gradient increases.



Verification (2005 - 2006): LaViolette worked with research scientist Guy Obolensky to test this prediction with respect to the speed of electric potential waves. Earlier Obolensky had reported that he had measured the speed of electric shock fronts (Coulomb waves) propagating away from a Dome antenna and found that they traveled at a superluminal speed. Based on prediction 12, LaViolette theorized that since the shock front expanded radially outward from its emitting dome antenna, its electric field gradient should decrease inversely with increasing distance from the dome and that the superluminal speed of these shocks should correspondingly decrease inversely with distance from the dome. This prediction was confirmed. They made measurements of the time of flight of the shock pulse to six locations of progressively greater distance from the dome and found that the excess velocity of the shock (v - c) declined inversely with distance just as had been predicted. This experiment is summarized in chapter 6 of the book Secrets of Antigravity Propulsion by Paul LaViolette. It should be mentioned that Tesla also reported that the speed of his pulses began at a near infinite speed at the dome of his antenna and progressively declined toward c as they traveled further away.

Verification (2008): The prediction with respect to the force exerted by the gravity potential component of such waves was verified qualitatively. Paul LaViolette contacted Dr. Eugene Podkletnov and inquired about the performance of his gravity impulse beam generator. Previously Drs. Podkletnov and Modanese had reported in a published paper that the impulse beam was able to deflect a test mass up to 14 centimeters when 2 million volts were discharged through the generator's superconducting cathode disc (Podkletnov and Modanese, 2002). Podkletnov had subsequently told LaViolette that the beam was able to punch 4 inch holes through concrete blocks when 10 million volt pulses were discharged through the disk. In January 2008, LaViolette asked Podkletnov if his team used a different electric pulse generator to produce the gravity pulses that punched holes through concrete blocks as compared with the ones that produced the 14 centimeter pendulum deflections and whether the former used a different Marx capacitor bank that was able to create a pulse with a steeper gradient. Dr. Podkletnov concurred that was indeed the case, the concrete smashing pulses were created with an electric discharge that had a much more rapid voltage rise-time.

Verification (2008): The prediction with respect to the superluminal speed of gravity potential component of such waves was verified qualitatively. Previously, Dr. Podkletnov had told LaViolette that he and Dr. Modanese had measured the speed of the pulses to be between 63 and 64 times the speed of light. In January of 2008, LaViolette asked Podkletnov whether the concrete smashing pulses produced by the steeper electric field gradients traveled much faster than the pendulum deflecting pulses. Podkletnov concurred and said that they had determined that these stronger pulses traveled at least several thousand times the speed of light.

The Secret of Overunity EM Devices
This "nucleus as a Pumped Phase Conjugate Mirror" mechanism is the fundamental secret of all legitimate Over-Untiy devices that tap vacuum energy. The tapping device is not a closed system, but is open to the flow of energy from the vacuum to the nuclei and back. All systems everywhere are open to this in-and-out VPF flux exchange anyway. Normally, however, the two VPF flows in and out are equal and opposite, and so the energy exchange between vacuum and nucleus is in equilibrium. In that case, none of the VPF exchange energy is gated out to the external circuit.
In the "activated" case, however, the two VPF flows (between the nucleus and the vacuum) are not equal, because part of the flow energy that accumulates in the in-surge into the nucleus is gated out of the atom and into the external circuit.

Hence the vacuum/nucleus flux exchange system is not locally in equilibrium, because part of the in-flow is being gated by 4-wave mixing accomplished in the PPCM barium nuclei, into forming an organized PCR wave, which in turn goes on out of the atom instead of back to the vacuum. Any local vacuum energy extracted is just instantly replaced by the surrounding vacuum - just as a raging ocean instantly refills the hole left in dipping out a spoonful of water.

So in the self-oscillating PPCM nucleus, part of the vacuum influx energy is gated into an organized phase conjugate replica (PCR) wave, instead of simply being flux-exchanged back to the local vacuum. This amplified PCR wave backtracks the path previously taken by the input 60 Hz signal wave, and thus proceeds out of the vacuum-pumped nuclei, through the atom's electron shells, into and through the material lattice, and arrives in the outer circuit, which is connected to the external electrical load.

The device thus powers the external load directly off the energy organized and gated from the local vacua surrounding the excited, activated, self-pumped barium nuclei.

Some Characteristics of the Phase Conjugate Wave

The phase conjugate wave was apparently discovered by Nikola Tesla.

This was the secret of his wireless transmission of energy at a distance without losses. Transmitting time-reversed waves resulted in transmission of convergent, hence energy-conserving, beams. Tesla described it as if he had an invisible wire through the vacuum, and transmitted all the energy down this wire.

Phase conjugation was also the secret of his magnifying transmitter. The earth is a nonlinear medium, and provides a very good phase conjugate mirror in the range of 0.001 Hz through 1 megahertz. That is, the highly pressurized internal portions of the earth are already "trembling,' electro magnetically at those frequencies, but in scalar EM resonance due to combined EM waves and their phase conjugate replicas. If a powerful EM wave of resonant frequency is then transmitted into the earth, with a large elevated capacitance so that a resonant system is established, then a strong resonant standing scalar EM wave can be established into and through the earth's fiery core. The core then acts as a giant, self-powered cathode, and continually feeds scalar energy into the established standing scalar EM wave. Equilibrium is established with highly amplified, enormous scalar EM energy in the earth at that transmitted frequency.

In other words, the earth has now been converted to a giant pumped phase conjugate mirror tuned to the transmitter frequency. Most of the energy in the "pump wave" comes from the fiery core (cathode).

Now if another transmitter/receiver station somewhere else on the earth transmits a weak signal into the earth at the pump wave frequency, a response phase conjugate replica wave—highly amplified—will emerge from the earth at that point, and be received in the receiver. This is straightforward pumped phase conjugate mirror theory, and hundreds of scientific papers already show the basic effect (over 100 even show that it is possible to produce self-pumping, which is the case here).

The energy received will be negative energy. The visible spectrum, e.g., will be reversed to the external observer, and it will appear a brilliant—even blinding —white.

Nonlinear optics (NLO) is the branch of optics that describes the behaviour of light in nonlinear media, that is, media in which the dielectric polarization P responds nonlinearly to the electric field E of the light. This nonlinearity is typically only observed at very high light intensities such as those provided by pulsed lasers.

Optical phase conjugation
It is possible, using nonlinear optical processes, to exactly reverse the propagation direction and phase variation of a beam of light. The reversed beam is called a conjugate beam, and thus the technique is known as optical phase conjugation (also called time reversal, wavefront reversal and retroreflection).

One can interpret this nonlinear optical interaction as being analogous to a real-time holographic process. In this case, the interacting beams simultaneously interact in a nonlinear optical material to form a dynamic hologram (two of the three input beams), or real-time diffraction pattern, in the material. The third incident beam diffracts off this dynamic hologram, and, in the process, reads out the phase-conjugate wave. In effect, all three incident beams interact (essentially) simultaneously to form several real-time holograms, resulting in a set of diffracted output waves that phase up as the "time-reversed" beam. In the language of nonlinear optics, the interacting beams result in a nonlinear polarization within the material, which coherently radiates to form the phase-conjugate wave

The most common way of producing optical phase conjugation is to use a four-wave mixing technique, though it is also possible to use processes such as stimulated Brillouin scattering. A device producing the phase conjugation effect is known as a phase conjugate mirror (PCM).

Dynamic holography
In static holography, recording, developing and reconstructing occur sequentially and a permanent hologram is produced.

There also exist holographic materials which do not need the developing process and can record a hologram in a very short time. This allows to use holography to perform some simple operations in an all-optical way. Examples of applications of such real-time holograms include phase-conjugate mirrors ("time-reversal" of light), optical cache memories, image processing (pattern recognition of time-varying images), and optical computing.

The search for novel nonlinear optical materials for dynamic holography is an active area of research. The most common materials are photorefractive crystals, but also in semiconductors or semiconductor heterostructures (such as quantum wells), atomic vapors and gases, plasmas and even liquids it was possible to generate holograms.

A particularly promising application is optical phase conjugation. It allows the removal of the wavefront distortions a light beam receives when passing through an aberrating medium, by sending it back through the same aberrating medium with a conjugated phase. This is useful for example in free-space optical communications to compensate for atmospheric turbulence (the phenomenon that gives rise to the twinkling of starlight).

Which brings us back to my inital thread on this forum. It is in the Original Maxwell Quaternion work that the unified field theory appears, overunity is no longer a law breaker and the non linear physics of phase conjugation is clearly the Soliton Field Induced Effect. The shockfront of the Tesla Impusle Magnifying Transmitter is a Phase Conjugation Technology Star Machine. While I suscribe to the APM and Sub Quantum Kinetics models which agree in a more intrinsic way about what the Scalar is doing with the vaccum, the Tom Beardern expolation of the Scalar as a Klauza methodology of GR in 5d, while not perfectly transferrable to the first set of models, is still a good answer for the GR person, because the results are the same.

So while lengthy, this quote by Tom provides an explanation about what 5d and quanternions is all about from a Classical Physics point of view.

Maxwell's Lost Unified Field Theory
About the time of the U.S. Civil War, James Clerk Maxwell succeeded in unifying magnetism and electricity. Actually he did far more than that, in his theory as originally written.
In fact, he had produced a theory which also captured the free interchange between electromagnetic energy and gravitational energy, but no one - including Maxwell himself - realized it at the time.
Maxwell wrote his original theory in quaternion and quaternion-like mathematics. The modern form of vector mathematics had not yet been finalized by Gibbs and Heaviside. It is most instructional to examine some of the fundamental differences between a vector and a quaternion.
In a conventional 3-dimensional vector, one may have three vector components, such as

where i, j, k are unit vectors in the directions of the x, y, and z axes respectively and a, b, and c are constants.

Obviously if the vector components of vector v are zero, then

We shall be interested in the "vector product" of two identical

and A is the length (magnitude) of vector v, Ø is the angle between

Now let us look for a moment at the quaternion situation.

First, in addition to the three vector components, a quatemion also has a separate scalar component, w. So the quatemion q for this

There is a very good physical interpretation of this result. It is a square of the amplitude, hence for the vector part of a wave, it is directly proportional to the energy density of the vacuum, as a function of time, at the particular position. However, we now need to make a short explanation of variation of stress energy density of spacetime.

First, we note that, according to general relativity, the "gravitational potential" is just a conglomerate of potentials of all kinds. Basically, a potential represents a G-potential, and consequently a curvature of spacetime. The potential also represents "trapped energy."

Second, we note that Kaluza combined electromagnetics and gravitation as a unified theory in 1921. Kaluza added a fifth (spatial) dimension to Minkowski's 4-space, and applied Einstein's relativity theory to 5 dimensions.

To Kaluza's delight, a common 5-d potential is responsible for both electromagnetic field and gravitational field. The "bleed-off' of this 5-potential in the 5th dimension (which is wrapped around each point in our 3-space) is what we know as the electromagnetic force field. The bleed-off of this 5-potential in and through our 3-space is what we know as the gravitational force field.

Since the EM field is very much stronger (by a factor of 1042 for electrons) than the gravitational field, it is obvious that most of the bleed-off of the 5-potential is in the 5th dimension, as EM force field. Only a tiny bit is left to bleed-off in 3-space, producing a very weak gravitational field.

We state this fact: as a mass moves in space, it generates increased "activity" with the virtual particle flux of vacuum itself. The increased virtual particle flux activity exchange between vacuum and mass is analogous to a strange kind of "virtual resistance." Since the resistance is virtual, it does not observably slow down an observable object moving in an (unobservable, virtual-particle flux) vacuum.

The increased flux activity represents an increased "virtual energy density" of space time, and an increased "trapped potential" (mass; resistance to an accelerating force) of the moving object. It represents a rotation of the spacetime frame, vis a vis the laboratory observer).

In the virtual vacuum (which contains both positive and negative time), one sees two antiparallel virtual forces: one in positive time, along the velocity vector of the object, and one in negative time (time reversed, or phase conjugated). The reason one sees virtual forces is that each virtual (subquantal) change in the virtual flux activity represents an individual (unintegrated), separate change, hence a virtual acceleration. The observer ( where things are integrated), sees the integral of all these accelerations, hence observable velocity.

The vector sum of these two virtual forces in the vacuum is a zero vector; however, the two taken together represent a stress in the local energy density of vacuum.

Since we may regard an EM wave as a stream of virtual electrons/positrons, each engaging in tremendous virtual particle flux exchange with the vacuum, then the same basic picture applies.

Now for our physical interpretation of (4-5): If we refer to an EM wave moving in the vacuum, the rotation of the frame is maximum (90 degrees). But this same rotation is just the same as additional vacuum stress, so the vacuum stress is maximum.

This leads to these conclusions: An electrical force field vector represents a local maximum linear stress in spacetime, along the line of the vector. (Note we specifically deny that the electrical force field vector, of an EM wave in vacuum, is transverse. Instead, it is longitudinal. That has been addressed elsewhere by the author and will not be covered further here. )

Another electrical (stress) vector interacting with the first one adds more "urging" stress to the first. However, this action is occurring in the rotated frame of the moving wave, and so is rotated 90 degrees from the electrical velocity vector. Therefore it is lateral (but in a hyperdimension, not in 3-space) at right angles to the electrical velocity vector.

The combined "urging" action of the two vectors thus sweeps out an area with respect to the laboratory observer .
This means that the total "urging" or "stressing" action of the two vectors is analogous to a vector area.
It also means that this "area" function may be taken as the "swirl" of the electrical vector, but in a hyperdimension, not in 3-space. That is, we have described the magnetic force field.

Thus any two electrical vectors that interact will have an "area" or "resistance" component generated. Any two that interact. Whether they add vectorially, cross-product multiply, or dot-product multiply.

What is actually happening is that the wave exists in the 5-potential. The E and B fields just represent the oscillations in that 5-potential. They represent oscillations in the bleed-offs of that potential as E-field (longitudinal) and B-field (swirl).

The drag-area represents the accumulation of extra potential- hence the local rotation of spacetime. Since this accumulation is moving (along with the EM wave), as it passes a point it represents a change in the local virtual particle flux density of vacuum at that point, hence a local curvature of spacetime.

Hence, the EM wave makes a 5-dimension G-potential wave as it travels. The 3-dimensional gravity wave associated with this is normally very, very much smaller in magnitude - say, by a factor of 10-42 or so.

However, if the two vectors interact so as to produce a vector zero resultant, then all the electromagnetic energy of the two vectors is captured. That is, all the "EM vector zero" resultant means is that the EM bleedoff of the 5-space gravitational potential wave has been stopped. The 5-potential is still oscillating, and now all its trapped 5-energy must bleed off as 3-gravity force field.

Mass acts as an accumulator for this "trapped-EM energy turned into local curvature of 5-space." If we continually irradiate a mass with such a wave, the atomic nuclei of the mass slowly charge up with the new energy. Note that this potential delta may be positive or negative, if one adjusts accordingly.

In this fashion one may change the mass of a static object in the laboratory. One may either increase the mass or decrease it, or cause it to float, or even cause it to accelerate upwards.

But to return to our vector interaction and our interpretation of the scalar remainder of the quatemion.

The rule is, when the two EM vectors interact so as to form a zero EM resultant, then the EM energy represented in each of the two vectors has been converted into a special form of 5-space gravitational potential, one that is not bleeding-off in the fifth dimension (electromagnetically), but one which will gradually produce a 3-gravity potential in a mass's atomic nuclei as a function of time, the individual element, permeability and absorption factors of those nuclei, etc.

Therefore in our mathematical theory we ought to have a scalar component remaining when two EM vectors interact to form an EM vector zero resultant. That scalar component represents what is happening in the 5-potential, that will only bleed into 3-gravity.

With exploration of this phenomenology in the laboratory, one can work out the functions, constants, coefficients, and parameters which specify how the "5-G to 3-G and vice versa" component works in conjunction with mass, motion, and other fields.

That's the magic secret of electrogravitation.

It was captured inherently by the quaternion theory of Maxwell published during the American Civil War!
After Maxwell's death, when the scalar portion of the quaternion was discarded (by Oliver Heaviside) to form "modern" EM theory, that also discarded the unified field interaction between electromagnetics and gravitation.

Electromagnetic field and gravitational field were then modeled and regarded as mutually exclusive. EM field, therefore, was thought to produce no specific gravitational effects in the vacuum itself.

Hence when Albert Einstein was formulating general relativity some decades later, he knew only one way to "curve" spacetime: that was gravitationally, by "attraction of mass" forces.

But gravitational force was so weak that only a huge collection of mass would exert enough of it to measurably curve spacetime. That would require a sun or star. Since the observer and his instruments would never be on the surface of the sun or a star, Einstein assumed that the local spacetime of the observer
would not be curved.

Hence he severely crippled his general relativity theory. In the West, it remains an assumption to this day. It is not a universal assumption in the Soviet Union, however, since the Soviets have long since written - and developed in the laboratory - unrestricted general relativity with local spacetime curvature, and hence local violation of conservation laws.

So the scalar part of the quaternion interaction, that remains when the vector part of the resultant is zero, is magic indeed.
That is the magic unified field portion that everyone has been seeking for decades and decades!

It was there at the beginning. Then we inexplicably threw it away!

But to return to our vector/quaternion examples.

Note also that the two vectors

v1= ai + bj + ck,
v2 = -ai - bj - ck (4-6)

sum to zero vectorially when added, such that

v1 + v2 = 0 (4-7)

However, quaternions may behave quite differently, even under addition. For example, the two quaternions

q1 = w + ai + bj + ck,
q2 =w - ai -bj - ck (4-8)

sum their vector parts to a vector zero resultant, but do not sum to a scalar zero as well. Instead, they sum to

q1 + q2 = 2w (4-9)

As can be seen, quaternions which have the same vector parts as vectors, do not necessarily yield a complete zero when the vector parts sum to zero. And when two vectors multiply to provide a zero vector resultant, corresponding quaternions may yield a scalar term that is equal to the product of the magnitudes of the two vectors.

In this way, the quaternion approach can capture the stress of the medium, induced by opposing or multiplying vectors. In the vector approach, the stress of the medium is entirely lost when the two vectors sum or multiply to a zero resultant.
Let us see just how important this "vacuum stress" can be.

First, the "stress in the medium" represents curvature of space-time when that medium is the vacuum/spacetime.
In other words, the quaternion approach captures the ability to utilize electromagnetics and produce local curvature of spacetime, in an engineering fashion. Heaviside wrote a subset of Maxwell's theory where this capability is excluded.*

The Scalar Potential Has An Internal Structure

The Structure of the Scalar Potential: According to rigorous proofs by Whittaker [Ref. 2] and Ziolkowski, [Ref. 3] any scalar potential can be mathematically decomposed into a harmonic series of bidirectional wave pairs. Figure 1 shows this Whittaker/Ziolkowski (WZ) structure. In each pair, the forward-time wave is going in one direction, and its phase conjugate (time-reversed) replica wave is going in the other. According to the so-called distortion correction theorem [Ref. 4] of nonlinear phase conjugate optics, this PCR wave must precisely superpose spatially with its partner wave in the pair. The two waves are in-phase spatially, but 180 degrees out of phase in time. The wave is made of photons, and the antiwave (PCR wave) is made of antiphotons. It follows that, as wave and antiwave pass through each other, the photons and antiphotons are coupling and uncoupling with each other, because the antiphoton is a PCR photon, and PCR's precisely superpose spatially with their partner. A photon or antiphoton has wave characteristics, because it has a frequency; if the wave aspects are perfectly ordered and perfectly correlated, then so are the photon's particle aspects.

A Potential Is An Ordering Across the Universe: So we have -- astoundingly -- perfect VPF inner ordering infolded in the electrostatic scalar potential! We also have perfect wave/antiwave ordering infolded in there. When you collect a simple set of charges on a small ball or in a region, the scalar EM potential from that set of charges reaches across the universe. In it you have an infinite harmonic series of phase-locked time-forward EM waves going out from the charges to all distant points of the entire universe. And you have an infinite harmonic series of phase-locked time-reversed EM waves coming from all points of the universe, back to the "collected charges" source.

A Potential Is A River of Energy: The point is, you have established a mighty, hidden, 2-way river of energy between that collection of charges and every other point in the universe. There is infinite energy in each of those infolded waves and antiwaves. But in a localized region, the energy density in each wave is finite. Since in finite circuits the potential interacts with a localized set of mass, we shall be concerned with the local energy density (joules/coulomb) of the potential.

But forget the conventional myth of visualizing the potential as pushing a unit charge in from infinity "against the force field" -- there isn't any force field in the vacuum, as is well-known in quantum mechanics. Also, Newton's third law requires all forces to occur in pairs -- each pair consisting of a force and its 3rd law reaction force. From that viewpoint alone, there is no such thing as an EM forcefield or force field wave in the vacuum. There are just gradients of the vacuum potential present in the vacuum. In the vacuum, an EM wave is actually a wave of the phase locked gradients of the electrostatic scalar potential and of the magnetostatic scalar potential. And each such gradient wave is simultaneously accompanied by its phase conjugate gradient wave, because of Newton's third law.

Newton's third law requires forces to occur in pairs of equal but antiparallel forces.

Both wave and antiwave co-exist simultaneously in the vacuum EM wave. [Ref. 5] Therefore it's a stress potential wave, not a force field wave. It's more like an electromagnetic sound wave, [Ref. 6] and so it is a longitudinal wave, not a transverse wave. In the EM vacuum wave's interaction with matter (the so-called "photon" interaction), the wave normally half interacts with the electron shells of the atom, giving translation forces, while the anti-wave half interacts with the atomic nucleus, giving the Newtonian 3rd law reaction (recoil) forces (waves). The EM wave in vacuum is an electrogravitational wave.

Energy Is Internally Infinite and Unlimited: A static potential -- which is identically excess energy -- is internally dynamic and infinite. Energy is internally infinite and unlimited! But it has a finite energy density in a local region of spacetime. Since energy interacts with matter locally, we shall be concerned with the local energy density (joules per coulomb).

A Principle of Great Importance: The only way you can have a "chunk" or finite amount of energy to dissipate in a circuit as work is to first have a potential's local energy density interact with a local finite mass collector. The normal interacting mass collector is the free electrons (the free electron gas) in the circuit. You can have, e.g., (joules/coulomb x coulomb); (joules/gram x grams); (joules/m3 x m3); etc.

Voltage, Force, Potential Gradients, Loads, and Work: Now let's look at circuitry aspects. Conventionally they are a mess. Voltage is "essentially" defined as the "drop in potential." In other words, it's the dissipation (disordering) of a "finite amount" of potential gradient. But the only way you can get a "finite amount" of infinite energy/potential gradient is by first interacting the potential gradient's internal, finite, excess energy density with a finite "collector" mass. E.g., (joules/coulomb available for collection) x (coulombs collecting) = excess joules collected on the interacting coulombs, available for dissipation.

So voltage is really the dissipation of a finite collection of excess EM energy/potential gradient. The dissipation of potential or of its gradient is not potential! You cannot logically define either potential or energy as is own dissipation!

We presently use the notion of "voltage" in two completely contradictory ways in electrical physics. Here's how we got the confusion: We take a potential gradient (which has a local energy density), and we "collect" it across some charged masses in a locality -- usually the free electrons in the free electron gas in our circuitry. That is, we express the finite energy density of the potential gradient (before collection onto charges) in the local region in terms of energy per coulomb. The potential gradient actually is a change to the ambient potential, and so it contains an excess energy density (the magnitude may be either positive or negative). We then collect this potential (actually this potential density) on a certain number of coulombs, which places tiny little gradients of potential across (coupled to) each free electron. The local excess energy density of the potential gradient multiplied by the amount of collecting mass gives the amount of excess energy collected (on the interacting charges/coulombs). On each collecting particle, that little gradient, together with the coupling particle, constitutes a tiny force. F is not just equal to ma (non relativistic case); instead, F (ma), where (mass x acceleration) is considered as a unitary, inseparable thing. So that little potentialized electron (that little EM force) moves itself around the circuit. In the load (scatterer), the little potentialized electron (the little force) is subjected to jerks and accelerations, thus radiating energy (shucking its gradient). Since this is done in all directions in the scatterer (load), that gets rid of the gradient, reducing the "little force" (potentialized electron) to zero because the little potential gradient is lost due to radiation.
