July 13, 2010 ~ The Thunderbolts Project

James P. Hogan It is with deepest regret that we acknowledge the death of Author James P. Hogan at age 69. He passed away suddenly at his home in Ireland and no cause of death has been announced at this stage.

Electric Comets Part 8
May 29, 2010 ~ Presented by Dave Smith

Asteroid Itokawa In this series we have contrasted the dirty snowball model of comets to the plasma discharge model, questioned how gravity alone could retain huge comas, explored surface features not expected of a slushball, discovered that electrical stresses are the most likely cause of cometary fragmentation, and observed the impacts of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 with Jupiter and the Deep Impact probe into comet Tempel 1. Together this outstanding body of observations must bring into question the orthodox model of comets as it serves to demonstrate the predictive power of Electric Universe theory.

Electric Comets Part 7
May 15, 2010 ~ Presented by Dave Smith

Comet Tempel 1 energetic explosion If electric cometary theory needed any more support than we have seen in this series, it was supplied when NASA slammed a copper projectile into comet Tempel 1 on the Deep Impact mission. Whilst most scientists were confronted with surprise after surprise, Wal Thornhill applied Electric Universe theory to predict what would be observed. Although his predictions were on public record before the event, they were met with an eerie silence by the scientific community.

Dissecting Bad Models - Solar Temperature Gradient Paradox
May 08, 2010 ~ Michael Gmirkin

Solar temperature gradients A number of astrophysical assumptions and deductions have gone unchallenged for far too long. The thermonuclear sun stands contradicted by empirical observation. Would Sir Arthur Eddington have abandoned his theory if he knew then what we know now?

Electric Comets Part 6

Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 fragment G impact with Jupiter When Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 fragmented in 1992 upon a close approach to Jupiter, it gave us indications that its changing electrical environment was responsible for the breakup, as orthodox theories failed miserably with a comet so far from the Sun. When the fragments returned to collide with Jupiter in 1994 it gave us unprecedented opportunity to evaluate the validity of the models on offer.

Our Misunderstood Sun
March 01, 2010 ~ Wal Thornhill

The Electric Sun Mistaken ideas have diverted scientists down the path of Ptolemy once more, adding endless epicycles to theory to save appearances. Meanwhile the object central to the problem is the same and in full view. It is our misunderstood Sun.

Electric Comets Part 5
March 13, 2010 ~ Presented by Dave Smith

Comet NEAT Comets fragmenting is a common occurrence but upon close examination of such events, many of which take place far from the sun, it becomes obvious that an electrical explanation offers a far better fit than the ad hoc adjustment of the "dirty snowball" model.

Electric Comets Part 4
February 11, 2010 ~ Presented by Dave Smith

Comet Wild 2 Through this series of Special Edition Thunderblogs it is emerging that the electric theory of comets offers a far superior explanation of observations than does the standard model. Having previously explored the main features of comets it is now pertinent to take a closer look at their many enigmatic surface features such as spires, pits and craters.

Electric Comets Part 3
February 01, 2010 ~ Presented by Dave Smith

Comet Tempel 1 How is it that a tiny comet nucleus can hold a coma sometimes larger than the Sun, against the force of the solar wind? If gravity alone were responsible it would require the nucleus to have a density orders of magnitude higher than any known substance, yet most comets are said to be low-density bodies. Only the Electric Universe offers a coherent answer to this paradox.

Electric Comets Part 2
January 24, 2010 ~ Presented by Dave Smith

Comet Borelly This week we present the orthodox "dirty snowball" model and contrast it with the plasma discharge (electric comet) model. In presenting these in dot-point form it is easy to see that the plasma discharge model explains and even predicts the observations much more accurately than does the currently accepted model of comets.

The Fairy-Tale Cult of Wikipedia
January 22, 2010 ~ Guest Contributor - Henry H. Bauer

Henry H. Bauer Wikipedia's dogmatic defense of a mainstream scientific belief, together with character assassination of those who point to defects in that belief, will be familiar enough to AIDS Rethinkers (Beware the Internet: Amazon.com "reviews", Wikipedia, and other sources of misinformation, 11 April 2009). It takes only one dedicated fanatic to dominate any given Wikipedia entry or topic, and arbitration on Wikipedia is controlled by sometimes anonymous individuals whose credentials are thereby unknown.

Electric Comets Part 1
January 16, 2010 ~ Presented by Dave Smith

Comet Halley Since the beginning of the space age and with progression to more sophisticated and accurate space probes and telescopes, astrophysicists have been presented with many "surprises", resulting in an almost daily ad hoc adjustment of their theories. But of the many bodies known throughout space, nothing is more enigmatic for the standard model of cosmology than the humble comet. And so we begin this presentation at the beginning of Chapter 4, Electric Comets.

(Un)Settled Science - Hole in the AGWzone Layer!
January 14, 2010 ~ Guest Contributor - James P. Hogan

(Un)Settled Science - Hole in the AGWzone Layer! When beliefs that are normally regarded as the province of science become subject to an ideology that decides in advance what answers are required and censors the evidence in ways that steer beliefs toward them, then, regardless of what incidental use might be made of computers, satellites, and other kinds of advanced engineering and technology, what's going on isn't science. But most of the world has never learned to tell the difference – or maybe cared that much.

Electric Comets Re-write Space Science
January 09, 2010 ~ Michael Goodspeed

Michael Goodspeed On January 3rd, 2010, the SOHO satellite captured images of a comet disintegrating as it approached close to the Sun. The comet was what's known as a "Sungrazer" -- comets whose orbits lead them very near the Sun. Although one would not get the impression from science news reports on the comet, Sungrazers present an unresolved puzzle for astronomers.

Wikipedia Woes - Pending Crisis as Editors Leave in Droves
December 26, 2009 ~ Dave Smith

"Jimbo" Wales A recent physorg.com article cited a report indicating a ten-fold increase in the number of "editors" leaving Wikipedia between the first quarter of 2008 and the first quarter of 2009. Whilst Jimbo Wales was understandably quick to defend his encyclopedia, the figures speak for themselves and the hard question needs to be tackled. Why is Wikipedia in the wars?

Science, Politics and Global Warming
December 23, 2009 ~ Wal Thornhill

Global warming The Global Warming circus in Copenhagen was politics driven by a consensus that, by definition, has nothing to do with science. The apocalyptic nonsense that opened the meeting highlighted that fact. How many who attended or demonstrated at the meeting actually understand the (disputed) scientific grounds for the hysteria?

"Alien Sky" - Questioning the Myths in our Religions, Part 2
December 23, 2009 ~ David Talbott

David Talbott After quoting substantially from my previous article, a reader and friend stated his "complete disagreement" with the heart of the piece ... His note emphasized again the importance of communication on sensitive issues raised by "Symbols of an Alien Sky." There will be no escaping the necessity of reconsidering assumptions on all sides of these issues.

"Alien Sky" - Questioning the Myths in our Religions
December 17, 2009 ~ David Talbott

David Talbott We had no doubt that the DVD "Symbols of an Alien Sky" would inspire controversy, and it has. But it’s been gratifying to receive letters and personal comments on religious or spiritual belief in relation to the message of the DVD. I include two such letters below, along with my own responses.

Authors David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill introduce the reader to an age of planetary instability and earthshaking electrical events in ancient times. If their hypothesis is correct, it could not fail to alter many paths of scientific investigation.

Professor of engineering Donald Scott systematically unravels the myths of the "Big Bang" cosmology, and he does so without resorting to black holes, dark matter, dark energy, neutron stars, magnetic "reconnection", or any other fictions needed to prop up a failed theory.
More info
In language designed for scientists and non-scientists alike, authors Wallace Thornhill and David Talbott show that even the greatest surprises of the space age are predictable patterns in an electric universe.
