Re: Comet Elenin on anyone's radar yet?
Ok, here's the first images of Elenin on the Stereo behind cam, finally showing a tail:

People are concerned that Elenin might go Comet-Holmes on us. I suspect it might.
Prof James Mccanney speaks a lot about the "August return current sheet". I know his comet model doesn't exactly match Thornhill's, but he might have a valid point here. He says there is an established return current from the heliopause to the sun at the area on the ecliptic we pass during August-September. This is the main cause behind the hurricane season during this time (Earth gets charged up and attracts H+. Electric streamers/birkeland currents connect with the earth forming a hurricane at its base??). If this is true, Earth, the moon and Elenin will form a very conductive path for this existing current to focus on...

* Can someone run that simulator to see if all long-period comets brighten during inner planetary alignments?
* Thornhill isn't making predictions about Elenin, because he said brightening depends partly on the Sun's activity and the constituents of the comet. That's from a Thunderblog at http://thunderbolts.info/thunderblogs/a ... ephant.htm.

I found the following similar videos on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx6gVW5b5aU
That Auckland video is probably also just contrails being lit up by the setting sun.

It's an alien spacecraft, joking, joking Too slow in my opinion to be an asteroid, so probably contrails and glints off of an aircraft.

YouTube has a new report on a possible impact site according to this vid.

OK, Are most of the members of this site discussing this possible EU event with pm's?
I am a retired environmental engineer, and many years removed from my physic classes. So help me out here. Some are raising the possibility of Comet Elenin, with some hydrogen cyanide in its composition and longterm history, acting like a highly charged capacitor and delivering a "cosmic" shock knocking out the earth's power grid.
My "dumb" question:
Does this mean stand alone generators are toast also?
thanks
Martin

Hello manich: If something similar to the Carrington event happens in the future one might expect every printed circuit not protected by a Farraday cage to melt.

I'll assume your generator has a printed circuit.
This kind of event could transpire latter today, or any day, for a number of different reasons. A nearby Nova, a CME, a surprise comet or asteroid. Every day is a gift. Comet Elenin might increase the odds of a plasma event. Apparently there are many variables.
On a brighter note, it might be millions of years before the next plasma event. Our recent history according to legend and myth does imply plasma events are quite common though.

Since Elenin is no way visible in the sky, and the so-called "niburu" doesn't exist, and the lights on the plane are strobing, despite the claim of "not a plane," it's a jet contrail.

Don`t be so sure about this.

[moderator edit] they are not contrails they are 2 comets side by side, right now about 93,000,000 miles away and within a month will pass by @ about 37,000 miles away

Re: Comet Elenin on anyone's radar yet?
To all concerned,
Discussion on the upper boards should have relevance to the Electric Universe, for instance the focus here should be on the Electric Comet hypothesis and how it applies to Elenin. If someone thinks they have evidence that Elenin is actually a brown dwarf star and/or on a collision course with Earth...etc then they should open a thread on the NIAMI board.
And as always, discussion on all the boards should be polite and address the issues, name calling will not be tolerated.
thanks,
Nick
