Physicist Abhas Mitra: no black holes, no big bang
Indian physicist Abhas Mitra does not show up in a search of this forum, yet he is recognized as strongly arguing and providing proof there are not, and cannot be, any black holes, nor a big bang, and in a wikipedia entry no less: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abhas_Mitra. He believes that what are called black holes are actually very dense objects encompassed by plasma: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home ... 966468.cms Though no one appears to have proven him wrong, the standard model bearers continue to take pride in the unassailability of their theories. I thnk EU proponents may find it worthwile to look into Mitra's theories.

Papers by Mitra: https://barc-in.academia.edu/AbhasMitra! and blogs: https://eternalblogs.wordpress.com/, and Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/180463648732274/
And he describes purported black holes as actually being hot balls of magnetized plasma. Granted, he still gets there via gravity, but perhaps he would find the EU perspective of interest?

Nice find! Mitra's work and arguments seem to coincide with much of e.g. Stephen Crothers' and some of Eric Lerner's, and it generally supports a model of the Universe without a bang, expansion, inflation and matter collapsing into black holes.

Abstract
In the framework of the relativistic theory of gravity, we show that a universal mechanism for stopping the process of gravitational compression of a body with large mass with its subsequent radial expansion appears because of the gravitational field tensor. This excludes the gravitational collapse and the possibility of black hole formation.
