The Grand Canyon is the actual "impact crater".

Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

Just another mad idea.

Since the K–Pg boundary shows high levels of the metal iridium, which abundant in asteroids
and we know that asteroids/meteors make electrical scars like Tunguska and Chelyabinsk,
I'd say that the Grand Canyon is the actual damage done to planet earth instead of the Chicxulub crater.
Since 1 % 1, 1 * 1 and 1 - 1 do not add up, we must conclude that 1 + 1 is 3.
