Article in scientific american Bioelectrical Signals Can Stunt or Grow Brain Tissue
It seems that the early development of brains is guided by electric forces.

"They noticed that before the development of a normal brain the cells lining the neural tube, a structure that eventually becomes the brain and spinal cord, have extreme differences in ionic charge within and outside the membrane that houses the cells. In other words, these cells are extremely polarized."

I wonder if there is any connection between this and the article I found that says ISS scientists can develop eye problems...increased pressure in the brain...
