220v through body, light lights, fry fish?

Many Internet forums have carried discussion of the Electric Universe hypothesis. Much of that discussion has added more confusion than clarity, due to common misunderstandings of the electrical principles. Here we invite participants to discuss their experiences and to summarize questions that have yet to be answered.

Have any of you seen the following, and how can this work? Curious; thanks.

What makes current passing through the body lethal is the fact that human beings aren't very good conductors. The current passing through us gets converted to heat, causing electrical burns.

Thing is though- some people are better conductors than others (for whatever biochemical reason). I've taken some pretty good hits myself with little burning, and x-rays showed that I didn't have any noteworthy scarring on my heart. Likewise, others have died from 110 VAC for no discernable reason :\

It's not the nature of electricity here, but rather the wonders of human chemistry, that is truly the amazing phenomenon.
