I really don't understand what is happening, but this is what I found:Aardwolf wrote:There is something wrong with their conclusion. The scientists made the moving clock by accelerating lithium ions to one-third the speed of light. Then they measured a set of transitions within the lithium as electrons hopped between various energy levels. The frequency of the transitions served as the ‘ticking’ of the clock. Transitions within lithium ions that were not moving served as the stationary clock.

But according to relativity the particle accelerator ions can equally be seen as stationary and the "stationary" ions as accelerating. There is no prefered frame so who is to say which is which. They may have proven that time acceleration exists not dilation.Sparky wrote:I really don't understand what is happening, but this is what I found:Aardwolf wrote:There is something wrong with their conclusion. There doesn't however seem to be any explanation about what else happens to an ion when you accelerate it to 1/3 speed of light in a extreme magnetic field. Maybe they are measuring that effect instead.

Not free, but looks promising:

Lockheed says makes breakthrough on fusion energy project
http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/10/ ... EM20141015(Reuters) - Lockheed Martin Corp said on Wednesday it had made a technological breakthrough in developing a power source based on nuclear fusion, and the first reactors, small enough to fit on the back of a truck, could be ready for use in a decade.

http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/1917 ... f-gasolineAndrea Rossi’s E-Cat — the device that purports to use cold fusion to generate massive amounts of cheap, green energy – has been verified by third-party researchers, according to a new 54-page report. The researchers observed a small E-Cat over 32 days, where it produced net energy of 1.5 megawatt-hours, or “far more than can be obtained from any known chemical sources in the small reactor volume.”

Re: Free Energy? Critical examination?
I enjoy this idea. Perhaps there is something we do not understand regarding two certain things. Both have been enigmatic for a long time, namely magnets and water. Both have very interesting properties and perhaps have the ability to 'steal' energy from their atoms. Perhaps we don't know what powers atoms. Given the new theory there is an electric current pushing through the whole world, and indeed the whole galaxy, that is powering every single atom like gears running off each other. It powers inertia and gravity and magnetism and everything else.
Given this circumstance, the ability to understand that "free energy" could be like an "invisible waterfall" may be considered.
Lets not discuss these devices in terms of "free" energy. Lets figure where an apparent "over unity" machine works and where it steals its power. That could be more important to the future of mankind than the actual "free" energy itself. Would you not like to know the actual reason for Gravity, Inertia and Magnetism?
I would.
ps : throw Radioactive decay rates in there as well.

A probable source is the vacuum field. http://www.cheniere.org/techpapers/on_e ... energy.htmLets figure where an apparent "over unity" machine works and where it steals its power.
