Cosmic Search Casts Doubts on Our Understanding of Galaxies

Unread post by Zelectric » Sat Sep 26, 2015 1:45 pm

The Standard Model is dying slowly but surely...

"After monitoring 24 pulsars with the Parkes Radio Telescope for 11 years, new research casts doubt on our understanding of galaxies and black holes.

For scientists gravitational waves exert a powerful appeal, as it is believed they carry information allowing us to look back into the very beginnings of the Universe. Although there is strong circumstantial evidence for their existence, they have not yet been directly detected."

This also casts more doubt on the evidence for the Higgs Bosun. It is supposed to be a particle that is also a wave, a gravity wave. If there are no gravity waves, there is no Higgs.

This post shows you do not know anything of which you speak.

@ David. It's better to refute my point with facts or logic, than make a personnel attack on me, and remove all doubt that YOU are the fool, with no argument to use against me.

The article states that research casts doubt on the existence of Gravity Waves.
The Higgs boson is a different thing related to mass.

SirWilhelm was correct, there is so much nonsense in mainstream science it is hard to keep track of all the ridiculous ideas, but a simple google search already lead to this >Higgs boson could also explain the earliest expansion of the Universe http://phys.org/news/2014-08-higgs-boso ... verse.html / It is not always about how one says something maybe people should try their best to actually understand what someone is hinting at and provide pointers.

Maybe it is best to stay on the topic at hand and the research that was done and ignore the 'obvious detractors'.

Gravity waves are dead, theoretical artifacts and should be 'outlingood' [just made that word up, i like it] in future actual physics discussions.

No, he is flat-out wrong.

The "Higgs Bosun" [sic] is not "a gravity wave", as even a cursory search of the literature will show.

It is pointless advising you to reread what i posted, but stay in your little bubble world, fine with me mr agent. This thread should stay on topic.
Maybe it is best to stay on the topic at hand and the research that was done

Isn't it interesting today's APOD explanation closes with "The end stages of such a merger may provide a strong and predictable blast of gravitational radiation, a much sought after form of radiation different than light that has never yet been directly observed. " ?
