New model suggests dark matter is made of electrically charged particles
Not totally electric yet, but a small step into that direction.
"The stealth dark matter model predicts that dark matter is stable, but also produces large quantities of electrically charged, unstable nuclear particles. These short-lived particles, now long decayed, would have left a definite mark in the very early universe, with the extremely high plasma temperatures forcing them to interact with ordinary matter."
Electrically charged plasma.. Hmm..
Exploding stars could be lit by hearts of dark matter
Why would they need such a theory?
"Dark matter makes up most of the mass in the universe but shuns contact with ordinary matter."
What if we combine it with the above? ..Electric plasma...
Could cosmic megastructures be intruders from another world?
(sadly behind paywall)
They propose the existence of other worlds with different physical properties might cause differences in redshift,
and some other properties. Witness the creation of an amazing new myth.
"As our observations of the cosmos come into ever sharper focus, astronomers are beginning to identify structures bigger than any seen before. There’s only one problem: none of them should be there."
Do I smell problems?
They actually state that redshift is not always related to distance!

Re: Some more dark matter stuff
I keep thinking,
if most matter is not yet condensed into the states of solid, liquid, and gas,
then the so called "dark matter" which our astro-mathematician priests refer to, could simply be normal atomic and subatomic particles free floating as plasma.
The interstellar and intergalactic medium.
Much of it being charged, makes it tend to create electric and magnetic fields as it flows about, which influences the shape and movement of the galaxies.
I don't see a need for any mysterious hidden substance.
