Beyond the boundaries of established science an avalanche of exotic ideas compete for our attention. Experts tell us that these ideas should not be permitted to take up the time of working scientists, and for the most part they are surely correct. But what about the gems in the rubble pile? By what ground-rules might we bring extraordinary new possibilities to light?

A few decades ago, the alternative-science world was enthused over the Kirlian phantom-leaf effect, in which a Kirlian photo taken soon after a leaf had been cut, would show a ghostly image of the part of the leaf that had been removed.
There have been advances in the area of ether theory, and the associated concept of "auras," since then. -This would seem an opportune area for theoretic discussion.

The mainstream explanation for this is that if the slide is cleaned of any residual moisture or other secretions from where the cut piece of the leave had sat, then the ghost image will not appear.

I am not interested in "auras" as paranormal phenomenon. I understand EU proposes an electric Sun, made of metal and surrounded by an electric glow, these photos show something similar.
Kirlian photography uses high-voltage, low-current electricity to create a corona discharge around an object.

While there are some EU/Plasma Cosmology proponents who are Iron Sun advocates, that is not the model favored by the EU. (In using the term "EU" I am referring to the TB team)

It is not my intention to divert the topic, but a statement made here needed some clarification.
So the discussion on Kirlian photography should resume .......

Hi all, first post here, so go easy on me......
My hypothesis is that biology is a field effect and that the morphology of plants is a symbiotic response to atmospheric and planetary high voltage fields and would suggest that kirilian photography is simply a means of stimulating existing electrical pathways in the plant or animal to a state where light is emitted. One of my formative personal experiences was witnessing trees in coronal discharge mode where every leaf had multiple (although imperceptibly tiny) blue discharges on a clear moonless night. The results with metals is likely to be the aforementioned contaminants on the surface providing low resistance pathways to the HF high voltage charged plates used to discharge to the surroundings. I suggest the 'phantom limb' effect is due to the electro-morphic field of the plant or animal which exists as an emergent property of the biology and field and is present in some form as a 'standing wave' in the local field as long as enough of the circuit (leaf/salamander limb) is unaltered. The 'aura' and associated colours are indicative of the ionic state of the moisture being emitted by the subject and the electrical properties altered by same.
