I'm surprised I haven't seen this posted anywhere on the forum yet. This is EXACTLY what the Thunderbolts team has been lecturing on for years now, ion bombardment of silicates releases oxygen, which reacts with solar wind to form hydroxyl and water. This exact mechanism can be compared to the "volcanoes" of Io, Europa, Titan, Enceladus, and Ceres, as well as cometary phenomena.
Past research suggests much of this water may have come to Earth from comets raining down on the planet. But scientists have suggested another source of water in the airless void of space — the continuous flow of charged particles from the sun, a stream known as the solar wind.
This wind consists primarily of protons, the positively charged nuclei of hydrogen atoms. When these particles slam against oxygen-laden rocks — for instance, minerals known as silicates — they could in principle form water molecules.

And here is the publication:

So, the solar wind is a solar river...

Here is the explanation for those not familiar... electrochemistry:

The Enceladus water plumes is total nonsense, anyone with common sense can see that.
Same with the "icy water plumes"recently observed on some "comet-like" asteroids.
Water plumes that look like flashlight light rays?
Ice that is vaporized at extreme cold temperatures?

The solar wind ions are primarily H, He and electrons, O is also among the numerous other ions. I described water formation from the solar wind in these posts last summer

and other posts a few years ago that I cannot find.
Is there some way to make the search function go back more than a year? In the “View Your Posts” function the oldest post of mine that comes up is in December 2012 but I know I made entries in March 2011. The peculiar practice of combining individual threads into conglomerates, ostensibly on a common subject, makes the original thread more difficult to locate, if it can be found at all. Is there a large block of older threads missing, deleted, or just plain gone, from this website?

I'm not sure about your first statement... from what I understand, plasma wind is a mixture of protons (hydrogen)and electrons. The oxygen isn't emitted from the sun, it's released from the silicate materials in asteroids, planets, and comets from ion bombardment, then reacts with the protons to form OH and eventually water. This is the mechanism the posted study concluded, which is also found in the Electric Comet videos from the Thunderbolts team.

Maol,
The T'bolts search engine is cruel experiment in exasperation.
In google, use

Enlighten yourself (and this forum, please) after you web search.... solar wind oxygen content ....
Between 160 and 560 km, the atmosphere consists of about 90% atomic oxygen. What do you suppose protons and electrons and atomic oxygen (and the other solar wind heavy ions) do when they get together (in the Earth's magnetosphere) (in the shadow of the planet) …??

justcurious (or anyone), I am just curious too. What did you find out about the oxygen content of the solar wind? The several sources I have found have different information and it appears the % content varies over time and in different CME events. In any case, oxygen nuclei are a component of the solar wind and CME’s.

Some data from SOHO. Search for the word oxygen in this. There are several mentions of oxygen in the SW and CME's.

Good stuff !
If all these different isotopes are being sucked in at the the ionospheric aural holes, can there be any conclusion other than that Terra is growing like a well-watered weed ?
